ImagineIT Timeline
So far, to date, I am relatively happy with the progress of my ImagineIT. I’ve had a little bit of time to reflect over winter break and I’ve come to the realization that while NGSS #2 is the standard we get to the least out of the 8, we do manage to tackle it once every two weeks or so. Moving forward, I believe my goal will be the following two action items:
Time is limited with how long I can spend on each concept in my classroom (apparently it may be even shorter if the Board decides to shorten the school year). With that being said, action item one becomes somewhat of a dream. Shifting gears, focusing on action item number two is definitely more practical.
I believe a while back I stated how it is funny that things just seem to fall into place at the right time. As I embark on this final leg, two positives come to mind in my classroom. One is that we will be concluding Chemistry and moving into Physics. This is huge for my project because hands down I favor teaching Physics and two, in my opinion, it is so much easier to develop models around the flow of energy. As I sit here and type this, my mind is wandering with the thought of roller coasters. The second positive is that my colleague, with whom I share the iPad cart, agrees that we need to look at our apps and begin downloading things that apply to both of our projects. With that in place, according to my timeline, I should be able to shift from paper and pencil modeling to electronic.

- How can I increase the amount of times we tackle NGSS #2?
- How can I begin to implement more technology into tackling NGSS #2?
